Make Things Happen

It isn’t every day that one experiences something life changing.  Something that is totally awesome in the moment but that also gains depth over time and resonates the longer you have to think about it.  I recently had the opportunity to spend two amazing and intense days re-evaluating myself as a human being and the business.  The Making Things Happen Tour is series of intensive workshops led by the lovely Lara Casey designed to take your business to the next level…..the waaay next level.  I missed her on the first round since Salt Lake wasn’t on the list but was really excited when I found out she was coming here on her second sweep.  I had a truly moving day with Lara and the other 3 attendees, Hilary Anderson, owner of Alta Moda Bridal, Tessa Woolf, editor of Utah Bride & Groom Magazine and Chris Rebo with Rebo Photography.  I learned SO much not only for Lara but from everyone else in the room that laid everything on the table.  I strongly suggest checking into Lara next tour….or maybe you are lucky and she is yet to come to your city.  She is still on her current tour!

And if that wasn’t enough, the next day I got to attend the very first WedSmith, a wedding conference put on by Hilary herself and her husband, Justin Goodson.  The speakers were absolutely amazing and where MTH was all about personal growth, WedSmith complimented it beautifully with its hands on business strategies and techniques for running a successful business in the wedding industry. For a list of the speakers check out the WedSmith site.

I will never be able to give enough thanks to those who had a hand in my growing a little taller and gaining more of the knowledge and applicable skills we need in order to reach our goals.  Word on the street is Hilary is already lining up a stronger conference for next year, if that’s possible.  I look forward to more exhausting, pain in the ass, total re-assessment of myself and my business “growth” next year!
